Project Description:



LUPO - Productivity evaluation of independent production objects- with more than 1.3 million Euros of
funding the Chair’s largest research project to date, took off on 1 January 2010.


Objective:


The goal of the project, which is funded by the federal ministry of commerce and technology (01MA09018A), is a a quick and well-founded evaluation of production processes, regarding the benefits of decentralized production control using autonomous technologies. For this purpose, a hybrid simulator, which combines the advantages of computer-based simulation and model factories, will be developed. The cooperation with four companies from different
industries links research to practice.
